Prepare To Shit All Over Yourself
Today is the greatest day you will ever have in your life. That's because I'm posting the video of Mika Hakkinen's classic punk-out of Michael Schumacher at Spa in 2000.
Not only that, but you get full color commentary by the undisputed, all-time King of Speed himself.
Many people--myself violently included--believe this to be the illest pass in modern F1 history, although Kimi's '05 Japanese GP pass is a strong contender (I'll post that one soon).
Anyway. Coming down the straight neck-and-neck with MS at 180MPH+, Mika sees he can't overtake. So, he drafts the back marker (Ricardo Zonta) for a second, then dives inside and breaks the F out right before the chicane. Hakkinen went on to win the race--his greatest victory.
This is everything an F1 pass can and should be. It is the alpha and the omega, if you will. It's so textbook, so mother-whoringly money, that every time I watch it I feel like setting myself on fire and running through the streets nude and screaming, smashing things apart.
Now, without further ado...
